My music ethnography

I would like to learn more about country music for my music ethnography because I have never really paid attention to this type of music culture. I have known that the country music was found in Southern United State and origin from traditional folk, gospel, and Celtic music. Country music has been introduced in 1920s and named “Country and Western”, later changed to “country music” because of its style and subgenres. At Love & War in Texas, Zane Williams plays the country music every Thursday and not only Zane there are also a lot of singers perform at the restaurant every day. Since I’ve been in the united state only four years and live in Texas so I would like to know and understand more about the Southern music style. They also have a variety of Texan food that I would like to try. Not only the food at Love and War in Texas leaves the impression for everybody, but there decoration and space also make the people satisfied. The cowboy style of design, the food and country music help the restaurant show more about their Southern style restaurant. And here is their music schedule and some pictures of the band with the country music.

This is the theme song of "Howl's moving castle", film by Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi is the composer of the sound track of this cartoon. Every now and then, most of the music that i've listened to are all from the soundtracks of movie or cartoon. Most of them are really relaxing and touch. They could calm me down whenever I get stress from school and work. I also like this type of music because i could feel that even without words but the song can still show and express the emotion that relate to the scene. Even though that I don't play any kind of musical instruments but i really enjoy watching people play the instrument. To watch Joe enjoy playing the song, the rhythm of the song is just go straight to my heart, it really becomes a beautiful song.

This is the theme song of the cartoon "My neighbor Totoro", Joe is also a composer for this song. The sound of violin and piano mix together is really great. It is soft, smooth and really deep. The song brings me down to the silence of the view. I'm just so relaxing and stop thinking about eveything that is going on to me. Whenever i listen to these songs i feel like i've escape from the real world and come to my own world.
